The headquarter location is in Huron, SD with satellite locations in Cavour, Kennebec, and Herreid, SD along with Medina ND. The feed mill in Huron produces feed for cattle, swine, poultry, and sheep. Feed is produced in meal, crumbles, and pellets. Dakotaland Feeds has its own trucking fleet and delivers feed with auger trailers, hopper trailers, and van trailers.
Full Job Description
Dakotaland Feeds LLC is looking for a mixer elevator operator/driver at its Cavour, SD location . Shifts generally start at 7:00 am and staff work until the feed production is done for the day, normally between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. As a mixer/elevator operator, you will be responsible for weighing up hand-added ingredients, operating the feed mixer, loading and unloading trucks, and feed delivery. Other duties include daily housekeeping and tasks assigned by management. The ideal candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs, be able to work on foot for extended periods, follow required safety and production procedures, carry out basic required documentation, and have a good work ethic and ability to get along well with others in the workplace. Typical work week is Monday through Friday with occasionally weekend opportunities. Overtime pay applies for extended hours. Hourly wage $19.50 - 23.00 per hour DOE and if you have a CDL.
