Personnel Plus   is NOW HIRING   a Temporary Roofer in  Ontario, OR.

• Monday-Wednesday 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
• 3 day job- possibility of adding another day
• Temporary position
• $20 P/H

Duties:

• Safely set up ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment for roof access.
• Remove old roofing materials, shingles, and debris from the roof.
• Install underlayment, vapor barriers, insulation, and vents as required by local codes and manufacturer specifications
• Install the chosen roofing material (e.g., asphalt shingles, metal, tile) according to industry standards and manufacturer instructions.
• Seal roof edges and penetrations (like vents) with roofing cement or caulk to prevent leaks
• Accurately measure, cut, and transport roofing materials
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all debris is properly disposed of.

Requirements:

• Physical fitness and stamina to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power equipment (e.g., roofing nail guns, circular saws).
• Knowledge of different roofing materials (shingles, metal, tiles) and installation techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow safety guidelines (e.g., OSHA standards).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Must be drug free
