Seeking an Avionics Technician for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace & Defense industry in Hagerstown, Maryland. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.



Position summary:

• As an Avionics Technician IV, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform avionics maintenance according to FCC, FAA and company policies and regulations.
• You'll be responsible for moderately complex installation, testing, troubleshooting and repair of avionics components, and maintenance of test equipment, tools, and manuals.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Must have own tools in good working order.
• Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex, technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings.
• Advanced skills with moderately complex avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering' and crimping techniques.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL.
• Ability to mentor and guide subordinates.
• Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope and/or pitot static equipment.
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required.
